Flower Power
Bridgerton inspired Portrait Shoot
Did you know that sometimes I rent clothes for the Planet Photo Tribe shoots? I want my team to be able to wear amazing outfits that match our theme without them (or me) having to spend big bucks! I wanted to do a Bridgerton inspired shoot. You might have noticed the crossover of Edwardian styling into the high street. Corsets, flowered dresses and puff sleeves are showing up this year after the success of the blockbuster Netflix series.
Erinn and Gabby looked elegant in their flowered dresses and we needed a classic backdrop to compliment their outfits. Harrybrooke Park in New Milford is a favorite of mine and their gardens are beautiful at the moment.
Selecting a location that adds to your styling for the shoot is key. For regular clients the consultation is the time to go over the outfits you plan on wearing and we choose the locations that day. I always say a successful portrait is all about the details and the planning! Have you ever used one of the rental services for a special occasion of just to mix up your wardrobe for work? I started using Nuuly a couple of years ago and I love having access to Anthropologie, Free People and some unique international brands.
Choosing a location and styling the shoot is one of my favorite parts of the preparation. I love to match personalities with locations and styling with the colors of the location. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle that elevates your portraits to the next level. It’s my goal to deliver something unique, personal and memorable for all my clients.
If you would like to talk about teen portraits or plan your high school senior’s portrait session then don’t hesitate!
If you want to join the Planet Photo Tribe and join us for our next group theme shoot then pick up the phone and give me a call!
