Jackson Olson from New Milford to the Savannah Bananas

There’s something incredibly special about watching someone grow up in your hometown and then seeing them gain success doing something they love. Jackson was featured in the February edition of New Milford Living Magazine, and he joined me in the studio for his cover shoot.

When the world shut down for the pandemic Jackson started making videos on TikTok to pass the time. Recognizing his talent on the baseball field, and for connecting with the audience, The Savannah Bananas reached out and invited him to join the team. The rest as they say, is history. The Savannah Bananas aren’t your traditional baseball team, they’ve reinvented the game with high-energy performances, dancing players, trick plays, and a fan-first philosophy that’s captured attention nationwide.

He is now a Social Media star, with over 3.5 million followers on various platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and You Tube. His videos have had well over one billion views and he is still gets to play baseball; the game he has always loved, in front of sold-out crowds, at some of the largest major league stadiums in the country. There is often a fan or two from his hometown, and his parents Dan and Laura, can often be seen in the stands, on the field, or in his videos!
